LMSMULTI-TRAVAUX
Complete multi-level landscape with stone retaining walls, paver stairs and flowering beds

Landscaping

Interlock, retaining walls, excavation, drainage, sod and lighting. One crew, foundations done properly, and a result that doesn't move at the first freeze-thaw cycle.

01What makes the difference

A landscape build is 70% what you will never see.

Base, drainage, compaction and grades: that is where durability is decided. Pavers on an insufficient base look identical the first year and dish by the third.

We excavate to the depth our climate demands, compact in successive lifts, and solve water before thinking about aesthetics. The rest follows naturally: materials, colours, lighting.

02Our services

Nine specialties, one crew.

01

Interlock & patio pavers

Patios, walkways, driveways and borders.

We excavate to bearing soil, install a separation geotextile, build a crushed-stone base compacted in 100 mm lifts, then set pavers on stabilised bedding sand. Joints are filled with polymeric sand that locks out weeds and ants.

  • Large-format, classic or slab
  • Poured concrete or PVC edge restraint
  • Weed-blocking polymeric sand
  • Saw-cut edges, never broken

02

Retaining & garden walls

Decorative and structural walls up to 2.4 m.

Any wall retaining soil has to manage water, or hydrostatic pressure eventually pushes it out. We systematically install perforated drain tile on clear stone with free-draining backfill over the full height behind the block.

  • Compacted crushed-stone footing
  • Perforated drain & clear stone
  • Geogrid reinforcement where needed
  • Adhered, levelled cap course

03

Excavation & grading

Our own mini-excavator, excavator and loader.

We own our machinery, which means no waiting on a subcontractor and no inflated mobilisation fees. Stripping, foundation digs, grade correction, backfill and material hauling.

  • Tight access: mini-excavator available
  • Utility locates before digging
  • Spoil hauling and disposal
  • Backfill compacted to spec

04

Drainage & water management

French drains, dry wells, grade correction.

Water is the number one cause of property damage in the Outaouais: damp basements, settling pavers, dying lawns. We map where water actually goes before proposing a fix.

  • Foundation French drains
  • Dry wells & catch basins
  • Buried downspout connections
  • Minimum 2% positive fall

05

Sod & seeding

New lawn laid over screened topsoil.

Sod only takes if the soil beneath it is alive. We loosen compacted subsoil, bring in 75–100 mm of screened topsoil, fine-grade, then lay sod in staggered joints and roll it immediately.

  • No. 1 cultivated sod
  • Screened, amended topsoil
  • Hand-raked fine grading
  • Watering schedule provided

06

Artificial turf

Green year-round, no mowing or watering.

Ideal where natural grass fails: deep shade, steep slopes, dog areas, rooftop terraces and poolside. Installed on a free-draining base, it never puddles.

  • Compacted free-draining base
  • UV-stable fibres
  • Seams stitched, not glued
  • Antimicrobial infill sand

07

Planting & garden beds

Hardy plants chosen for our winters.

We work almost exclusively with zone 4 hardy material, planted in amended garden soil and mulched to 75 mm. A well-designed bed gets better every year instead of needing annual replacement.

  • Zone 4 perennials, shrubs, conifers
  • Amended garden soil
  • 75 mm cedar mulch
  • Machine-cut lawn edge

08

Outdoor living spaces

Fire features, outdoor kitchens, seat walls.

Gas lines, power and lighting runs are buried before paving, never retrofitted after. That is what delivers a space with no visible wiring and no patched cuts.

  • Wood or natural gas fire features
  • Steel-framed outdoor kitchens
  • Integrated seat walls
  • Pergolas and shade structures

Landscape design & site plan

A scaled plan before the first bucket of soil.

For larger projects we produce a scaled plan with grades, surfaces, materials and lighting positions. You sign off on the result on paper before anything is committed on site.

  • On-site survey and measurements
  • Scaled plan with grades
  • Material selection and samples
  • Optional phasing over two seasons

03Materials

What goes into the ground matters as much as what goes on top.

We work with established Quebec and Ontario suppliers. No budget base material comes onto our sites.

01

3/4" crusher run

Our standard base. A graded aggregate that interlocks and compacts beyond 95% Proctor density.

02

3/4" clear stone

Behind every wall and around every drain. Holds no water and does not silt up over the years.

03

Separation geotextile

Stops clay subsoil migrating into the base. One roll of fabric is the difference between a build that lasts and one you redo in five years.

04

Polymeric sand

Joints that harden with water, block weeds and stop ants from emptying the joint lines.

05

Screened topsoil

Screened free of stone and root, amended with organic matter before sod goes down.

06

Interlocking wall block

High-density concrete units with a rear locking lip that automatically sets the wall's batter.

04How we quote

No published rates, because no two properties are alike.

Two patios of identical size can differ twofold depending on site access, excavation volume and soil conditions. A published price per square foot would be wrong half the time. We would rather measure and give you the real number.

Site access

A yard the mini-excavator can reach and one where everything moves by wheelbarrow are not the same job.

Excavation volume

Depth required, soil conditions, and how much spoil has to be hauled away.

Current condition

Bare ground, a surface to demolish, or drainage to fix: three starting points, three budgets.

Material selection

Paver format, block type and product range move the cost significantly.

In every case

  • Firm price with no surprise amounts along the way
